Custom Workshops
What can we do to inspire better learning in our audience?
HIAS is a global humanitarian non-profit that supports immigrants with gaining employment in the US.
HIAS invited us to share insights on how they can inspire deeper learning in their audience, given our rich experience with crafting learning programs and facilitating adult learning for several years.
Our Solution
We crafted a custom workshop specifically for trainers, program managers, and coaches involved in educating adults at HIAS. It was titled: Inspiring Deeper Learning: Proven Ideas and Approaches to Help Adults Become More
It was rooted in as much learning we could have about the learners as possible, with multiple rounds of client input. This deep audience analysis helped us tailor examples, practices, and content specifically for the audience we were going to deliver it to.
What Made the Experience Remarkable
Frameworks that learners could use in their day-to-day
Deep audience analysis to tailor everything to their reality, and their world
Sharing original insights on learning based on our study of 200+ careers and varied adult learning literature at Columbia University
Videos, tailored examples, and practice within the session
Live demonstration on how small changes can lead to a massive difference in inspiring learning
What They Said
It was wonderful working with Anand of EdCrafter. He asks the right questions to really understand his audience. He shows a lot of passion and enthusiasm for the work of helping adult refugees learn. Before the training, we met and reviewed slides, so that I can offer feedback which he integrated into the final product. The training turned out to be thoughtful, interactive, and had lots of actionable tips. Our survey showed that the training really benefitted our network staff.

I think that if you get comfier with long silences (hard to do), more will answer. People just aren’t as fast thinkers/talkers/typers sometimes!
