EdCrafter brings creativity, research, and efficiency to the design of education. We specialize in building curriculum and learning journeys for companies, educational institutions, and individuals.

Hi there,

I’m Anand, the Founder and Chief Learning Strategist at EdCrafter.

The first time I recall feeling a strong passion for education was 12 years ago, when I visited this college in Shahpur, Karnataka, India.

Since then, I have felt two strong emotions at the same time: A zeal for improving education and helping people learn, and a disappointment around how ineffective current teaching and education approaches are—in schools, companies, and organizations.

Throughout my academic life, I went to the highest-ranking schools in whatever subject I wished to study - Indian Institute of Journalism, Christ University, Columbia University. And yet, I felt the way teaching and learning is happening—even at these top schools and organizations—is far from what we can do to help people learn at their best. In my employee life (which I spent as a marketer and instructional/learning designer), I attended trainings and courses that were incredibly dull and ineffective. The design of education needs a strong nudge.

I have now spent 8 years of my working life asking just one question, which is asked so rarely:
How can we teach something well?

The core problem I have seen — which we’re trying to address with EdCrafter — is the surprising lack of creativity, rigor, or efficiency in how educational assets and experiences are designed and delivered. Most current learning experiences don’t have any theoretical basis, are not engaging, or take much more/less time than is needed. They can be super dull and ineffective. This impedes adult learners’ growth and limits their potential to live better lives and contribute to the world. Every bad learning design is a missed chance of empowerment.

We must design human development initiatives with the same rigor and thoughtfulness as we design buildings and bridges. Adult learners deserve it. That’s why EdCrafter was created.

Through EdCrafter, we want to significantly enhance how learning and trainings are designed, so that we can inspire deeper, more meaningful growth across all spheres of adult life.

EdCrafter is not aligned to any specific industry or domain or subject - we are, however, attached to the design of learning for adults - wherever it is happening today, we want to make it 10x better.

And wherever it is not happening, we want to take it there, with a bang.
